WHO Announces New Collaborating Centre on Digital Health in Germany
On April 9th, the World Health Organization (WHO) designated the European Campus Rottal-Inn (DIT-ECRI) at Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Germany as its collaborating center for digital health.
DIT-ECRI will support WHO in strengthening digital health systems through policy development, training, capacity-building, and research. This partnership aims to modernize health care and ensure digital tools are safe and accessible, supporting the Regional Digital Health Action Plan for the WHO European Region 2023–2030 and the WHO Global Strategy on Digital Health. Moreover, the partnership aims to turn research into practical solutions to enhance health service delivery and patient outcomes in the region.
WHO at Frontiers Health 2024
The World Health Organization joined Frontiers Health 2024, represented by its Regional Innovation Lead for the WHO European Region, Dr. Moredreck Chibi.
Dr. Chibi delivered a keynote talk outlining the organization’s strategic vision for leveraging innovation to tackle major public health challenges.
