Lily Tang is Deputy Director, Digital Investment Strategy at NHS England. She currently leads on development and implementation of policy and strategy to facilitate digital as well as wider medtech innovation, adoption and transformation in the NHS. Lily has held a number of positions within NHS England, including leading the reform of pricing, reimbursement and financial incentives for the >£150bn NHS healthcare budget, and establishing a data science function for the organisation which enabled award-winning novel use of data & analytics, AI/ML techniques and agent-based epidemiological modelling to support the country’s local, regional and national response to Covid-19. She has over 10 years’ experience in the NHS and is a member of the UK Government Economic Service. Prior to joining the NHS, Lily advised ministers on policy, economics and strategy across the housing, energy, climate change and transport sectors. She is passionate about solving complex problems in the NHS and wider public sector to help benefit citizens.
